Abstract

This paper covers the construction and operation of the Grate-Kiln system at the Humboldt Mine. The mine concentrator and pellet plant are located approximately 14 miles West of Ishpeming, Michigan, on the Marquette iron Range. Production of pellets began in mid-July, 1960.
