Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to make the most complete assessment of coal cleaning methods, both process and equipment related to modern-day production and environmental requirements. In order to achieve this primary objective, a number of interdependent aspects of coal cleaning technology require evaluation and analysis. 1.0 CLASSIFICATION OF SEPARATION PROCESSES Processes and cleaning equipment can be categorized according to the important parameters of 1) mechanics of separation, 2) size range application, 3) range or variance in accuracy of separation related to 2) above, and 4) feed-size ratio affecting 3) above.
