Abstract

A preliminary investigation of the collecting effects of various fatty acids in tall oil has led to a conclusion that the collecting power of fatty acids used in flotation increases with increasing unsaturation of the hydrocarbon chain, Linoleic acid was found to be an excellent collector for oxide minerals.
