Through the courtesy of Mr. James H. Mayo, a member of the Institute, who is in charge of the operations of the Mindrinetti Company in the Saramacca district of Dutch Guiana, I have received specimeris of certain peculiar pseudomorphs of limonite after pyrite, which occur abundantly in the auriferous deposits of that. region.* I am indebted to Mr. H.
