Abstract

"Technology has the potential to revolutionise industries, work functions or businesses. One such technology in the mining industry is the deployment of automation in a modern autonomous haulage system (AHS). This paper examines a theoretical application of an AHS in a medium scale mine site. The cost-benefit commercial argument is particularly compelling, and the paper outlines metrics and future issues for consideration.Citation:Price, R, 2016.
