Abstract

This paper traces the history of International Mogul's assessment program on the Lake Ainslie barite-fluorite deposits of Cape Breton Island. The geology of the area is outlined, and the main vein systems described. The geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques employed are explained, the metallurgy of the ore is covered, and the market prices and economics of operation are described.
