Beavertail Tunnels Interstate I 70

Excavating and lining twin interstate highway tunnels each 11.3 m (37 ft) high by 14.6 m (48 ft) wide by 183 m (600 ft) long. A discussion of the geology of the site and problems occurring at the portals and the solutions to the problems. The methods used in placing the concrete lining are also discussed.
