Abstract
Benefits analysis of adaptive Expert control systems operating at plants in Africa and the United States are presented. Proper statistical tools and techniques are discussed. Technical and practical pitfalls of strategy comparison are also presented and illustrated with from published data. Advantages and disadvantages of a “Pay for Performance” approach to a project are reviewed.
