Beginning with a brief treatment of surveying fundamentals and a discussion of the correlation of surface and underground surveys, this practical manual continues with descriptions of surveying practice both above and below ground including stopes, inclined shafts; etc. Space is devoted to sampling and valuation, geological considerations, and descriptions of modern surveying instruments. The organization of survey operations is covered in the last chapter.
