The parts may be purchased separately at a cost of £ 1 each.-Part I of this book covers a report of the organizing committee, the inaugural meeting and presidential address, banquet at Guildhall, welcome by Sir Richard Livingstone at Oxford. and final session. Beginning with a brief treatment of surveying fundamentals and a discussion of the correlation of surface and underground surveys, this practical manual continues with descriptions of surveying practice both above and below ground including stopes, inclined shafts; etc. Space is devoted to sampling and valuation, geological considerations, and descriptions of modern surveying instruments. The organization of survey operations is covered in the last chapter.
