At the Boston Meeting of the American Institute of Mining Engineers in February last, Mr. George W. Mansfield read an interesting paper on " The Electric Motor in Mining Operations," and he entered into the calculations of power required and cost of transmitting energy in great or small quantities to a considerable distance.
