Coal Flotation -- The Promise And The Problems

Coal flotation offers the promise of a highly effective, large tonnage, low cost means of cleaning fine coal. Unfortunately, it has, to date, not lived up to its promise. Several problems that need to be addressed before coal flotation can achieve its promise are discussed and possible solutions offered.
