Computer Technology in Mine Surveying, Planning and Drafting

This paper describes the use of SURPAC, a survey/mine planning software package as used at Central Norseman Gold. It details the basic operating principles of the package, the applications in which it is employed, and its time and cost benefits and efficiencies as they apply to the above operations, both surface and underground.
