Abstract

Almost everyone has at least heard of the two one-call systems which serve New England. They are "Call Before You Dig", which covers Connecticut, and "Dig Safe", which covers the remaining five New England states. Those of you who are more familiar with these programs know that it is our job to help guard against the accidental dig-ups of buried plant and to prevent facility service disruptions. We cover all types of buried facilities, from cable television to high pressure gas transmissions lines, telephone cables, electric facilities, fiber optics and everything in between
