Abstract

This paper will outline the design process, and the constmction and rehabilitation techniques proposed for the external waste dumps associated with the mining of the Wolfang Basin coal measures.The basin is located to the north of Clermont and immediately west of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, Australia. Development of the Clermont Coal Mine is planned for the mid-1990s after adequate sales commitments are obtained to allow the project to proceed.
