Abstract

The mine has been in operation since 1964 and produces around 10 000 tons per day of ore containing (in order) zinc, lead and silver? The ore body consists of close to ten sub-parallel massive sulfide lenses. The length of the ore body is 1200 m with a width of up to 200 m. From the surface, the ore body extends to a depth to 1200m ?There is 100 km of active drifts for a total 400 km ?The mine is divided by 7 levels and 23 actives sub levels
