Abstract

In recent years the use of directional drilling has become increasingly popular in several applications. These include shaft pilot holes, exploration drilling, mine service holes and drilling beneath surface structures and obstacles. The prime objectives are to increase accuracy and reduce time, cost and environmental disturbance.
