Abstract

The microprocessor revolution of the 1970's dramatically improved the price/per- formance of graphics hardware. Together with improved communications and new software concepts and standards this has resulted in the emergence of a new tool with particular application to the mining industry. The Distributed Graphics Processor (DGP) offers more natural means of interaction with com- plex technical models.
