Abstract

Energy, like labour and materials, is one of the basic production inputs in the industrial minerals industry. This paper discusses the significance of the changing energy situation in Canada as it affects the industry. It is apparent that the importance of energy as a management concern has increased considerably since 1973. The importance placed on energy management today will undoubtedly be an important factor in determining company and industry sector strength and profitability tomorrow.
