Abstract

This note presents a summary of the available literature on activity coefficients at infinite dilution in binary metallic solutions, Table I. These data should prove useful in not only examining the therm-odynamic properties of binary metallic solutions, but also in predicting the activity of a component in a complex alloy. The relationship proposed by wagner1 for expressing the activity coefficient in dilute solution is of the form:
