Abstract

Abitibi Greenstone Belt ? ~2.745 to 2.680 Ga (U-Pb zircon ages) ? Several lithologically-distinct and structurally repeated(?) assemblages ? Represents: ? Allochthonous terranes? ? Single autochthonous terrane? ? Combination of the above Volcanology of Komatiites in the Abitibi greenstone belt ? Tisdale and Kidd-Munro assemblages have channelized flows ? Pacaud and Stoughton-Roquemaure assemblages DO NOT have channelized flows ? Only Tisdale and Kidd-Munro assemblages are mineralized
