Abstract

Introduction ?? Rising public pressures are being placed on companies worldwide to protect the environment and the health and safety of their workers and local communities. ?? International bodies and shareholders want to make sure developments and companies can meet internationally acceptable standards for EHS. In 2005, Golder Associates was asked by the IFC to conduct a comprehensive review and update for their Environmental Health & Safety Guidelines including the mining sector.
