Abstract

This paper, describing the concentrator practice of the Moctezuma Copper Co., is one of a series being prepared by the Bureau of Mines. The Nacozari concentrator of the Moctezuma Copper Co. (the Mexican subsidiary of the Phelps Dodge Corporation) is located about 75 miles south of Douglas, Ariz., in the Moctezuma District of the State of Sonora. Nacozari is the southern terminus of the Nacozari Railroad, ever which all concentrate is transported to Douglas for smelting.
