Abstract

The following account of wining practices of the Kirkland Late Gold twining Co., (Ltd.), at Kirkland Lake, Ontario, is one of 4 series of papers being prepared by the United States Bureau of Mines on mining practices, methods, sad costs in various districts. The author has prepared this paper with the help and permission of J. B. Tyrrell and W. M. Sixt, the managing director and the mine manager, respectively. This mine is operating at a daily rate of about 150 tons.
