Abstract

One phase of Bureau of Mines work in health and safety is promotion of the use of safe, satisfactory, and reliable respiratory protective devices. To insure that such devices will be. available, the Bureau has established schedules of minimum requirements for oxygen breathing apparatus,3/ gas masks,/ supplied-air respirators (hose masks, air-line, respirators, and abrasive blasting helmets, hoods, or masks),5/ and dispersoid (dust, fume, and mist)
