Abstract

The purpose of this report is to present a comprehensive review of the technology of alumina and aluminum production in the former Japanese Empire , which consisted of the Japanese Home Islands and her dependencies , Formosa , Manchuria , and Korea . Pertinent background material and statistics are given when deemed necessary to make the report self - contained and to make clear the factors underlying Japan's tremendous accomplishments in the production of aluminum .
