Abstract

A technique for producing etch pits in uranium monocarbide has been developed. The pits, which are assumed to be associated with dislocations, appear individually and as arrays delineating sub-boundaries, as seen in Fig. 1. The samples used were single crystals prepared by the technique described by Nadler.* Uranium
