Abstract

The densification of molybdenum powder by hot pressing has been studied as a function of time (up to about 3 x 104 sec) at pressures of 5000, 15,000, and 30,000 psi in the temperature range from 3700o to 1200°C. Excluding results below 2 to 5 x 10 sec, the density (D) - pressure (P) - time (t) data followed the general form:
