Abstract

A discussion of laboratory procedures used to determine pellet quality and to simulate handling and firing conditions. Strength- temperature relationships in pelletizing; effect of chemical additives on agglomeration; and crushing, abrasion, and impact resistance of the pelletized products are discussed with respect to five different iron ore concentrates.
