Abstract
The first of the two fall meetings of the Petroleum Division was held at Los Angeles, Oct 1-2 The attendance was the largest at a Coast meeting of the Division The Institute was officially represented by President Lovejoy, Secretary Parsons and George Otis Smith There were four sessions Thursday afternoon and evening, the latter a dinner meeting (both at the University Club), and Friday morning and after- noon, these two in the auditorium of the Edison building Possibly a dozen papers were presented, all of them constituting a valuable contribution to petroleum technology Hallan N Marsh, Chairman of the Division, presided at the dinner meeting at which Dr Smith addressed the members on "The Kettleman Plan m Retrospect," and C M Nickerson talked on the "Buena Vista Hills Cooperative Development Plan "
