Abstract
This paper considers the social, economic and political factors and their influence on future production and marketing of Western Canadian minerals. Among the subjects discussed are inflation, taxation, anti-combines legislation, unstable international currency relationships, economic nationalism and protectionism, the European Common Market and environmentalism.
