Abstract

THE difficult problem of visitors is being met by the Hudson Coal Co. at Scranton in an ingenious fashion. The Company had long made it a point to have dealers selling its coal visit the mines, whenever possible. "The excellent reaction obtained from these dealer visits brought up the question of whether it would not be possible to open one or more mines to the public, and give the consumer an opportunity of seeing for himself how anthracite is mined and prepared.
