Abstract

The mineral potential of the Far East, important to the United States for tin and tungsten as well as other minerals, is set forth in this first installment of a two part article by a specialist in the Far Eastern field. In this installment the mineral and resource picture of China, Japan, Korea, and Formosa are discussed. The second installment, in December, will cover Hong Kong, Indo-China, Thailand, Burma, Malaya, Indonesia, the Philippines, and British Borneo.
