Resource recovery, as an approach to waste management, is replacing disposal and it presents great opportunities for those in the metal refining and recovery industry. Combustion of waste enriches the metal fraction left in the ash to the point where metals can be efficiently recovered. The recovery and quality of metals can be enhanced by good combustion control. Innovative technology is needed to efficiently tap this generous, and renewable mine.
