Abstract

TUNGSTEN occupies an outstanding position amongst metals to-day, for by its use modern manufacturing methods have received a wonderful impetus. The important part played by tungsten in the recent war is not generally recognized. It was tungsten steel, in the shape of highspeed tools, that kept our soldiers supplied with munitions of war at more than one critical period.
