Abstract

This report summarizes the results of the development of a Directory of Computer Programs Applicable to U.S. Mining Practices and Problems. The Directory includes a sampling of computer usage in operating and manufacturing companies, consulting firms, computer companies, research organizations, universities, and various U.S. government agencies. References to computer applications throughout the mining industry are presented as well as comments on the availability of programs to interested organizations or individuals.
