Abstract

This report documents the work carried out by Engineers International, Inc. and its subcontructor, W. G. Pariseau, in order to develop a design manual for ore passes for open pit mines. The work included an extensive information search, novel analyses in rock flow theory, cost and time estimation for shaft and raise construction methods, and development of design criteria for the are pass proper, dump point, and draw point.
