Abstract

As part of the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Mines Health and Safety Research Program, Walter C. McCrone Associates, Incorporated has examined 71 samples of airborne mine dusts using the techniques of x-ray diffraction, electron microprobe analysis and light microscopy. This report details the procedures which were used in this work and documents the results which were obtained.
