Abstract

"Steady-state simulation has been used for over 20 years to optimise the operation of crushing and grinding circuits. Throughout that period continuing comminution research has been the basis for improving the models.Site surveys, ore characterisation, model development and investigation of different operating scenarios by simulation has proved to be a cost-effective method for improving plant performance. In this sense, this paper presents findings from experience with these valuable optimisation techniques with reference to specific case studies."
