Wood, New York City, Pa. N. Y. An item in the May Bulletin made it appear that Frank W. DeWolf had just become connected with the State Geological Survey of Illinois. This was one of the inadvertences of war. Mr. De Wolf has been Director, or Chief, of the State Geological Survey for approximately ten years. Through the courtesy of the Governor of Illinois, lie was loaned to the Bureau of Mines for about seven months, after which period he resumed his former position.
