Abstract

No new fields have been discovered in Ecuador during 1945, though Shell. Company of Ecuador's Vuano No. 1, near Arajuno in the Oriente concession, which was reported to have drilled to .5281 ft., tested a small, noncommercial quantity of 13° gravity oil. In the upper section, the well tested large flows of fresh water and has been abandoned. Shell is preparing to move to another location.
