Abstract

The quality of life in remote mining communities is a significant factor that impacts the mining industry?s ability to attract and retain high quality workers in remote areas. The rapid growth of mining development, along with the shortage of skills and training globally are reflected in an increasing need to identify the ideal conditions for employee wellbeing and investigate ways to improve quality of life of miners and their families in remote locations.
