Abstract

The evolution of mineral sand mine rehab ilitation techniques have been techniqually based. Research and investigations have been carried out by government authorities, mining companies and academic institutions. Protection of the physical and biological environments is a vital part of any mine oper- ation. The Mineral Sands Mining Industry in New South Wales is successfully working within the State's environmental framework and is meeting; community requirements and expectations concerned with the environment and mine rehab- ilitation.
