Abstract

[Surveys of the manganese situation conducted by the Geological Survey and other agencies have distinctly established the fact that the tonnage of high- grade manganese ore in the United States is relatively small. It is therefore obvious that large-scale production of manganese is possible only through beneficiation of low-grade material. ]
