Abstract

Bureau of Mines routine crude-oil analyses of 42 samples from 37 fields in the major producing areas in Mexico are presented in this report. Table 1 includes information on the source and general characteristics of each sample. Table 2 gives a summary of analytical and computed data. A map (fig. 1) shows approximately where the samples were obtained. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Grateful acknowledgment is made to Alfonso Barnetche, manager of production, and Ing. Francisco Inguanzo, assistant manager of production, both of Petroleos Mexicanos, who supplied the crude-oil samples and furnished information concerning their sources.
