Abstract
Heat capacity measurements of lead molybdate and lead tungstate were
conducted over the temperature range from 51 ° to 298 ° K. The entropies were
found to be S298.15 = 39.7 ± 0.5 cal / deg mole for lead molybdate and S298.15
= 40.2 ± 0.5 cal / deg mole for lead tungstate . The entropy values were combined
with other pertinent data to obtain the entropies of formation of the
two compounds from their constituent elements and oxides .
