Abstract
This report contains experimentally determined heat capacity data for
four crystalline sulfides -- AsS , GeS , NiS , and Ni3 S₂ -- over the temperature
range from 50 ° to 298.15 ° K. The heat capacity data were used to evaluate
the entropies of the sulfides at 298.15 ° K. Entropies of formation from the
metals and rhombic sulfur and from the metals and diatomic sulfur gas are
also included .
