Abstract

The Rincon del Tigre (RdT) complex is one of South America’s largest and best-developed mafic-ultramafic layered intrusions. It is set in the SE Bolivian lowlands, about 50 km from the Brazilian border.The BGS (British Geological Survey) and GEOBOL (Servicio Geologico de Bolivia) carried out an initial investigation of the RdT complex from 1976 to 1986. In this sense, the paper point out the geology background of The Rincon del Tigre, economical potential, typical ore secuence in laterite nickle deposit and pega pega erosional surface (Oligocene).
