Abstract

THE ROLLING OPERATION proper is applied to metals and alloys not only in the production of flat products but also in the production of shapes, rods, wire and even in specialized forms in the production of tubes. The present discussion of rolling copper and copper alloys will be [ ] limited to a consideration of rolling flat products such as strip, sheet, foil, plate, and others. In this case (as in the others listed above), the rolling operation itself is only part of an integrated sequence of operations.
