Abstract

Results from investigations into impurity distributions over cathodes are presented with implications for various sampling methods, Selection of an optimum treatment procedure for the test sample is outlined. The impact of both these studies on the development of an in-house method for sampling Isa Process cathode is discussed. The economic compromise actually undertaken, satifying wants and needs to sustain confidence in high grade cathode purity is detailed.
