Abstract

The efficiency of Carbon-in-Pulp and Carbonin-Leach circuits is determined by the degree to which the carbon can extract the gold from the slurry and transport it to the stripping circuit. The 'pick-up' efficiency of the carbon particles is affected by several factors which include the following: * The concentration of the carbon in the slurry. * The surface area of the carbon particles. * The reactivity characteristics of the carbon particles. * The retention time of the carbon in the slurry.
